Norwalk Ballgame

September 20, 2014 was a beautiful day for ballgame in Norwalk, Iowa. The crowd was happy, the ball players were eager and the Ghost Players were hilarious. To make a good day even better, the Ghosts even won the game.

Most importantly, both Camp Hertko Hollow and the JDRF were each given checks for more than a thousand dollars.

A number of seasoned players and a few rookies took the field to create the fun and play the game called ballgame. We want to thank all the big-hearted guys who came to play and stayed to make a difference in the lives of those whose families have diabetes.

The crowd enjoyed watching the comedy routine with the Ghost Players competing with children from the audience. The Ghost Players team is comprised of former professional and semi-professional ball players and they had to play hard to win against Norwalk’s finest police officers and firefighters during the exhibition game, which took place after the comedy routine. In fact, the invitation has already been given to return next year.

The Ghosts are
